Day 2.
we woke up at like 5.30am to wash up and then to have breakfast at 6.30am. i wasnt late but i was the last to wake up in my room. haha. im a heavy sleeper. breakfast was bread and eggs. nth much. after eating, we then left for our GK site. the place we're gonna build hses on.
upon reaching, we had to split into our work groups and was given a task to do. my work group included me, maio sia, siew li, guo wei and oliver. my task was painting, a very relaxing job. haha so i painted for the whole of 3hrs and yay i did a better job than guowei. haha im sure guowei failed art thruout primary and secondary school. so we painted and dats it i guess. oh did i mention dat the sun could kill? there are no clouds in tarlac city. yes totally no clouds coz there's no river or sea nearby. oh and tarlac city is known as the hottest place in the philipines haha. not a very nice place to be building hses at.
after dat, we went to GK Kawal Kalinga Village, the village we were supposed to go to for the next 3 days. we had lunch there and i tell u, the packed lunch they gave us aint very good haha. singapore food is much better. after eating, we interacted with the kids there. this time, we taught them how to sing the "friendship song", actions included. the local kids did their part too by singing us some philipino song and a tarlac city cheer i guess. the cheer went "boom! tarlac tarlac! boom! tarlac tarlac! boom! tarlac tarlac! Boom! Boom! Boom!" haha. quite dumb but the kids were very cute when they did this.
then, we went to town for our dinner at a food outlet called chowking. it is a chinese food restaurant and so we ate chinese food. its like a "mixed vegetables rice" plate or something like dat. dunno wad u call it haha. after eating, we were given a short while to buy some groceries at the nearby supermarket. we bought tidbits and some of us bought drinking water. well, the water from the taps in philipines is not potable and even boiling doesnt let u drink it. so we had to buy our water instead. and for every 2 days, we were given 6 litres of water for each room. luckily water is given at the worksite.
having eaten and bought our groceries, we headed back to our hotel and we had a GK session. An empowerment talk as well as group sharing. once again, the guides gave us speeches on GK to motivate us. blah blah blah and dats the end of day 2. we then sat arnd in 1 room and talked crap b4 some of us went to sleep (me included) while the rest played poker.

ok. back to the philipines trip.
day 1...
we gathered at like 7am at changi airport i think. and this time, no one was late. surprising huh? but yepp no one was late. we checked in our luggage, and then had free time b4 we enter the departure hall. oh and we were bored idling in the airport and so, we decided to do something stupid like always. we had these ribbons wif us which is used to tie our luggage for recognition. then, dunno who started pulling the strings outta the ribbon. juz then, soon suggested dat we start playing tricks on people. 2 of us were to hold the string and walk far apart, and people would get entangled in the string. we started off teasing our own people but eventually, strangers got tangled too. haha it was an accident but well...haha. luckily they didnt get angry or wad. but one indian guy's face was very angry but he didnt know it was us i think. haha oopsies.
ok on the airplane. i sat beside zang and we talked crap and blah blah. well a flight is nth special and so nth much happened.
after alighting from the plane, we arrived at the PAL international airport. and the airport didnt seem to be as great as i imagined. i thought altho it's not as gd as changi, i thought it would be like the airport i was at the last time i went to south korea. but dang, it was quite lousy, to put it frankly. but overall it's still ok. but the worse thing is, i fucking lost my wallet there. yes, i LOST my wallet. on the first day. how great huh? $120 worth of sing dollars juz flew away like dat. along went my ez link card and my new wallet. ah fuck. not a very experience i would say.
luckily kenneth brought along alot of pesos and i borrow $50 worth of pesos from him.
oh then we met our tour team leaders, yroll, leah, claude and ryan. they're a great bunch and i still miss them now.
ok our first destination after reaching philipines was a Tarlac GK site visit, GK Amalia village. when we arrived, the sky was already dark and pitch black altho its only 5pm. there is no time difference between singapore and philipines althought its mines apart, dats why it turns dark so early. We interacted with the people there and dats about it. we didnt actually interact alot. only said a few words and the rest of the section was taking photographs. haha the kids there like pictures alot. if u haf a camera and u start shouting "ok ready 1 2 3!" they will all swarm to the area ure pointing at. haha scary.
after dat, we went to our hotel, Asiaten Hotel in Tarlac City. oh the hotel aint very nice. ok they've got a decent bed dat u can sleep on but the water and the toilet totally sucks. the water smells of iron and thus it smells like blood. the toilet? smells like there's a ton of stale fish in there. haha really. so everytime i bathe, i would try to breathe as little as possible haha. and my roommates were minghao and gerald. hmm quite nice i guess. then we had dinner at hotel i think. i cant really remember.
after dat, we had our briefing and orientation. the guides introduced themselves and we introduced ourselves too. they explained the aim of GK and wad it means. as well as wad bayani han. bayani han means heroes movement when all the heroes get tgt. and yay! im a hero! haha how lame.
the little session ended 2hrs later and finally, we get to sleep. but obviously, we didnt sleep. we actually wanted to haf a little "mos" or "club momo" in one of the hotel rooms but it was too noisy. there is no soundproof doors and the walls are actually plasterboards, meaning to say it's 2 pieces of wood and hollow. haha so wad u say the room besides urs can hear it word by word. no wonder they say the walls have ears. so, we ended up playing cards instead. and the loser has to drink liquor. well, weiliang bought a litre of absolute vodka. i was the biggest loser. the game we played was "in between" aka "shooting goals" in chinese. and out of all the rounds we played, i didnt even win 1 round at all. yea, im damn unlucky at the philipines. firstly, my wallets, next a card game. oh and the times i had to drink double was twice of me having to drink single time. haha how great. and like dat, the first day ended.

ok im back from my phillipines trip.
the trip was fun, enriching, touching and somewhat tiring.
we spent 6 days there, working for a volunteery charity organisation group called Gawa Kalinga which mission is to build a new nation outta philipines thru building new homes for the poor people.
hmm...ill start blogging day by day abt the whole philipines trip. it was fun and ya u all shld go try building hses someday. =DD

its the end of school and i'm glad i joined odac. uh yea reality knocks me late haha. well, at first in secondary school, i heard about odac, and i was like "outdoor activities club huh...sounds cool." and yepp i kinda was interested in it. but during my first 3months in pjc, i heard from soon about odac activities and i was like "oh...odac. such a lie. why not call it pe club instead?" i mean those usual odac session we haf during school days are really like pe lessons. you do ur warm up, do a little bit of physical training, then ure off to play some dumb game like frisbee or captain ball. and they call themselves outdoor activities club. wow, my foot. and i actually decided dat odac sucks. but soon somehow dragged me in, moreover i didnt wan to go back to badminton and i couldnt find the archery notice board. so i guess its pure luck dat i joined odac.
and yepp ive joined odac and im enjoying it. i like my fellow odacians. ok maybe not some. but majority of them, yes. ok yes we do conduct pe lessons in school. but the stuff we do tgt, those dumb ass stuff like me and linkang "knocking down the walls of mankind" is actually fun. well im a dumb person so i enjoy dumb stuff haha. so do i like the usual after odac soccer sessions. and i tell ya, when odac goes outta sch, its really fun. well we go to camps and stuff and yea its fun. ok maybe the hike on belumut was hellish, but its fun! haha im not talking sense hohum. oh actually i do love the odac "pe lessons" on wednesdays and fridays coz there's always something to watch on the field. ok it's someone and not something. haha. *smiles widely* =DDDDDDD
oh and odac went to pulau ubin yesterday. it was an unofficial training so it was optional due to the tchers not going wif us. and yah luckily no stupid tchers. well, in the end only the usual peeps and a few girls went coz we had to freaking wake up so early in the morning. i mean we were supposed to report at like 8 or 9 at the changi jetty. well i 4got which was it haha. so we went being dead beat tired and looking like zombies. and remember, we were supposed to cycle.
well, when we reached at changi, it started to rain. great huh. such a nice day for cycling huh. but it kinda stopped and so we took the boat to ubin. we rent our bikes and started cycling to the camp site at the beach. we reached there and then slacked for a while coz it was raining. we played murderer and the 2 losers were soon and siew li. soon did his forfeit by dancing "beans dont lie", his rendition of hips don't lie haha. very dumb la. every1 was laughing la.
the rain sorta stopped then we cycled to another beach. the ground was wet though so it was abit slippery. we reached there and did nth much once again haha. after dat, we went for lunch near the jetty. oh and ubin's food is juz as expensive as those in mainland. i thought it was supposed to be cheaper but nah it wasn't haha. after having lunch, wyner and some of the others suggested dat we go to some place to cycle. it was some sorta of a dirt track and they said it was exciting cycling there. so we went there. at first we had to push our bikes up like hell. and yea the slope is steep and we all were tired pushing our bikes up. however, the down hill part was fun. for the first slope i didnt apply any brakes at all and it was fast like hell. summore the ground was wet so it was quite scary.
however, at the 2nd slope, there was an accident. maio sia's bike slipped and she kinda flew off her bike. and omg the floor had alot of stones so she got hurt quite badly. i was juz behind her and i managed to steer right. but daniel's bike knocked the fallen bike and he flew and did a front flip. omg it was so scary la. bikes flying. luckily i didnt fall. dunno why but eve also got hurt. i think it was coz zang stopped his bike when he saw the accident and eve's bike knocked into his. maio sia was hurt quite badly and was bleeding. so siew huai did some first aid on her. maio sia did cry i think and gahh we all didnt know wad to do. oh and daniel's bike's front wheel was badly twisted coz the bike flew.
in the end, maio sia stopped crying and i think she was abit shocked for quite a while. daniel on the other hand had to push his bike on one wheel. so we went back to the jetty and returned the bike. oh and im not quite sure but i think the store owner didnt press us to pay up for the front wheel.
so we went back and i reached home at around 9. after bathing and eating my dinner, i went to bed immediately. too tired for anything else haha. actually wanted to go online to chat for a while but my sis was using the com. i then fell asleep while waiting on my bed for the com haha. oh and i woke up at 12+ today so i slept like 15 hrs in total. the alarm didnt wake me up today so i missed soccer today morning. haha wasted.

woots! finally logged on to msn after the stupid prob.
hmm...went to wyner hse to thon ytd nite. roughly 10 of us went to his hse for a sleepover. we all sat in junhui's dad lorry. and did i mention dat junhui's dad is such a nice guy dat he offered to fetch us twice. oh and so we sat in the lorry. hmm...hey actually sitting at the back of a lorry at night is pretty refreshing. the wind is like so cold and its kinda fun actually. haha. we talked alot of cock on the lorry. stupid alvin once again rattled bullshit on and on. haha he nvr fails to talk cock thru'out.
oh then when we arrived, wyner was playing dota. and he freaking made us stand juz right in front of the door for 20 whole minutes. there was 10 of us mind you. haha so dumb. then his neighbour next door even came out to ask whos the one dat keeps knocking? so we went in la. duh. we played mahjong, watched tv and dats abt it. oh, wyner wif his superb acting skills actually bluffed us dat we had to sleep at 12 and we were not allowed to play mahjong coz his sister is having her o'levels the next dat. at first we were skeptical, but wif wyner's superb acting, we stupidly believed lol. dat was until he carried out the mahjong desk haha. however, in the end we really had to leave coz his dad has people coming to his hse.
so, we went to junhui's hse instd. and yea we sat on junhui's dad lorry once again. see? dats one hella nice guy. haha juz like me =X or at least wad i aim to be. hmm...so we went to his hse instd. we once again played mahjong and watched movies. this time we watched only 2 shows. inside man and american pie 4 band camp. haha the second is really dumb. but oh well, its jason's type of show. colourful. haha =DD
the first show was nice. but we had alot more fun wif the 2nd. ok we didnt do anything dirty mind you. we kept laughing at the 2nd one coz it was so brainless. the whole show is filled with dirty jokes and vulgarities. haha and actually, we do find the guy spouting vulgarities cool, coz he kinda brought spouting vulgarities to a whole new level. haha how dumb. oh and jason slept in the midst of the show. then we all decided dat he slept coz the nudity in the show is not as good as those in his com and thus it was boring to him. haha. ok we're kidding.
after the movie, some of us went to sleep while the others went to mahjong or dota. then i decided not to play mahjong this time round. actually i wanted to play, but since we had more than enuff players, i decided not to play then. haha yepp mr nice guy in action. haha =DD then apparently watching dota in the dark aint fun either, so i went to sleep instd. and hey, this is the first time i slept so early during a sleepover. i usually sleep last or somewhr near dat coz i have too much energy in me, but stupid morning gym and soccer has taken a toll on me i guess.
oh and i woke up pretty late this morning. and we haf to go to tan tock seng for our injections. and junhui woke up so late dat we were late. uh ok dats confusing haha. er so we went to tan tock seng and had our injections done. oh and do you know dat minghao is afraid of injections? haha. he was so nervous la haha. hmm...we then slacked after leaving tan tock seng and then go home i guess. yepp dats it, 1 wasted day dat is. haha.

uh, odac went to the school gym today. we first started out singing some stupid dumb song dat we were supposed to sing for the pinoys or phillipinos( i dunno wad u call ppl from phillipines) for our odac trip. after singing, we then entered the gym. well, wad more can be said about the gym... oh, we were supposed to sit down for a debrief. then linkang was gonna sit on one of the exercise balls. being bored and having nth better to do like normal, i went to kick the ball and linkang sat onto empty air instead. so he fell onto the ground. haha luckily he didnt injure himself. he sat quite smoothly tho haha. =x ok i know im stupid haha.
after gym, we went to kick soccer at the basketball court. we were actually not supposed to kick soccer coz of the A levels exam in the hall but we couldnt care less. oh and i saw her at sch today. but ah...i didnt dare to go and speak to her. well, ok im useless. but i am really at this type of stuff la. cant help it haha.

hmm ytd was soon's 2 days belated bdae celebration. and it was a day full of dumb stuff. haha. well, let me briefly say wad happened.
we decided to go bukit timah to eat dinner and then play either pool or lan after dat. so we met at lot1 to go tgt. but then me and junhui realized dat we hadn't buy a present for him. so i faked dat i didnt bring my wallet along so dat me and junhui can haf time to buy stuff for soon. we walked arnd in lot1 for more than an hour but we juz couldnt find anything to buy for soon. in the end wyner came to lot1 to join us and we then decided on the things we wanted to buy. 3 different types of red bean products (LOL wyner's idea.) as well as 2 cakes. 1 small 1 big.
we then went to timah to find the others. we went to keep the big cake at a mama's shop. the kind hearted storekeeper agreed to take care of it for us. we then brought the small cake and acted as tho we only bought the small cake. if u are wondering, the small cake we are talking abt is those small ones, a slice which u eat by urself. then soon thought it was for real and kept it. we kept pushing soon to eat and in the end, when he was gonna eat it, wyner went to slam soon's hand onto the cake. but he missed =.= in the end, several of us started to talk pieces of dat small cake and throwing at each other. haha very dumb indeed.
then soon went to the toilet to wash up as he had cake all over his head. while he was doing so, me and ang siang went to take the actual cake to our seats. then when soon came back he was surprised to see dat there was actually an actual cake. haha oh cmon, how can we be so cheapo so as to buy such a small cake? and after dat we ate cake and dinner.
oh before we started eating the cake, soon thought the plastic piece dat wrote "happy bdae" was chocolate coz we bluffed him and he started chewing on it. and it actually shattered into many pieces and he spat it out in the end. we then presented soon with his red bean products. a red bean cake, instant red bean soup powder, and a god knows wad red bean cooling jelly ( aka guilin gao). haha very dumb too. we then decided to go lan coz pool was fullhouse.
once again soon decided to go to the toilet. we then came up with another naughty and dumb idea. we thought of this when we were clearing up the mess we made. we used the cake box to store the litter. juz then dunno who suggested dat we trick soon dat there's a third cake using the cake box dat was full of litter. guess wad. soon carried the box for like 3hours straight, thinking there's an actual cake inside the box. summore there's a small transparent part on top of the box which you can see through. and if u actually did, u can notice alot of rubbish inside, which includes a bubble tea cup, several plastic bags, and dunno wad other crap.haha it was damn spastic i tell ya. we were like laughing when we saw soon holding the cake. dunno why but it felt as though it was a real cake. the weight was perfect. oh and dunno why the plastic bag inside the box looked like it was frosting or something. the only prob was dat the stuff inside kept sliding. haha.
in the end, only when we were going home, soon found out when the box tilted to one side and the cover sort of opened. he was like "WTF!?".LOL! HAHA very spastic really really dumb. actually we were hoping dat he brought it home.then his dad go and open the cake and to find trash inside. his dad is a nice guy who has a sense of humour and he would surely laugh till his ass drop. haha. hmm guys, so next time its ur bdae, pls check ur cake before u lug it around. =DD

it is really boring at home. haha all day long do nth but sit in front of the com playing dota or the tv. maybe they shld make south park dota and include me as one of the characters. im really doing nth at home everyday. I NEED A LIFE!! haha. but actually there's not much places we can go. and hell no, i dun wanna go to the gym everyday. the gym's a very boring place. u go in, see muscles here muscles there. if a normal jc student goes to dat place too much, in the long run, he may suffer from inferiority complex from comparing his build to those monsters in there. i mean look, while my life is being drained away sitting in front of the com, those overgrown hulks spend their entire lives measuring how many more millimetres their muscle grow each day they go to the gym. haha ok im talking bullshit. but i talk bullshit all the while ya know.

well, i went for stupid pw today. once again, totally wasted my time there. practically did nth much except for a mock presentation wif like 3ppl watching? haha pathetic. but this time round its better la, at least i had a lil bit of fun? well, the whole of lt1 was empty except for us. the mike was lying there, and i guess it was simply too tempting for soon. haha he took up the mike and starting talking nonsense in faux japanese. then bingshu juz sat there laughing. yah its pretty dumb watching him but i guess dats better then sitting down staring into space. jonathan brought his laptop so we actually wanted to play dota and screen the game onto the large screen in lt1. but we didnt, otherwise it would haf looked like the wcg haha. instead, we played some songs and soon itching again, started to sing with the mike in hand. yepp we made a kbox outta lt1 haha. hope we didnt bother the peeps over at the concourse. after dat, we then presented our slides. and all of us decided to go home.
we were gonna eat lunch when we met junhui at the concourse. being bored, we decided to go soon's hse to slack. junhui initially wanted to go home first and meet us at soon's hse coz he didnt want to be an extra by going to lunch wif us and our classmates. but i dragged him along. in the end, every1 went home and not to lunch instd. so, we packed our lunch and went to soon's hse to eat instd. we slacked and played playstation2 over at his hse. and gahh, junhui totally owned me at the stupid fifa street soccer game. haha his goalkeeper is godlike =.= i shoot like 5 times without scoring. ok, i know i noob. haha. but at least i owned the omfg. *wait, before u accuse me of scolding vulgarities, omfg = "odac most fittest guy". haha ok la the grammar is a tad bit wrong but nevertheless the meaning is still there? and dat guy is none other than sean. haha =DD i "leng leng owned him" like how sean said himself dat he owns us in soccer. haha wad crap. so besides play playstation2, we did nth much. and blah blah we went home.
gahh i think all those "rotting at home" has alrdy caused my mind to deteoriate and lose its sense? i cant even think of anything to blog. gahh haha.

soccer early in the morning. tiring. yepp it sure is. well, i woke up at 8 juz to rush down and play soccer wif the usual peeps. and gahh soccer today was boring. i juz didnt like to play at the street soccer court downstairs at lam soon. to me, it juz plain suck. played really really lousy today. in fact i think i didnt touch the ball much today. after soccer, we all went home la.
anyway, i volunteered to do housework! BWAHAHA good boy eh? mr nice has to be a filial boy too. haha its been ages since i last offered to do housework on my own. but i didnt do much haha, only swept the floor. i rmb when i was young, i liked washing toilets. haha weird huh? me and my bro will always offer to wash the toilet. i guess we were dumb when we were young LOL. why the toilet? god knows. haha.

i did nth in sch at all for today. juz sat inside the classroom doing nth with the others. gahh boring. there was carwash today too and i didnt help in washing the cars once again haha. but i did bother to take a look and the peeps there were more likely to be playing with water than washing cars. alex was even sliding around on a computer chair half naked. haha its funny watching him do dat.
so, i went to sch juz to practically do nth. how smart.
after the stupid useless trip to sch, me and some peeps decided to go to jurong point to buy wallets coz xinhao has a 15% off voucher. but i did something really dumb when we were there. well, we all picked our wallets and were gonna pay for it at the counter. but being stupid as usual, i went on to pay for my wallet without using the voucher. gahh. so i wasted 5 bucks juz like dat. dumb ass me.
oh and im rotting to death at home these days. either stuck at home or going to sch for stupid pw. boringgg...
